What about us?
Anne-Thaïs and Xavier, who are still active with 2 other gîtes in the Jura region, have embarked on the restoration of this estate, which they bought in 2009. Within a 100-hectare park bordered by the river ‘Indre’ on the one hand and surrounded by a fence on the other, the estate propose three spacious lodgings constantly renovated and improved: an apartment in the chateau (XIXth century), the great manor (XVIIth century) and a mill over the river (18th century).
In the heart of the Loire Valley (Unesco world heritage site) and a short 15 km from Tours, le domaine du Breuil is just stone’s throw from the main royal chateaux such as Villandry or Azay-le-Rideau.)-

Come and have a rest
We (parents and children 8,12 & 15 year old) found something for everybody at Le Breuil this August. This is no ordinary self-catering apartment. It is offers outdoor activities and indoor charm in spades. The accommodation is stylish but not stuffy, while the estate is home to deer, pheasants and acres of space. The apartment has it’s own delightful seating and dining area under an oak tree which catches the evening sun – perfect for aperitifs! Thoroughly recommended!
Our group of 4 friends (a couple and 2 singles) had an outstanding holiday at Le Breuil. The setting is lovely, on the banks of the river Indre, close to charming towns such as Monts and Artannes, and really close to area attractions such as chateaux and vineyards. The apartement itself has been remodeled in such a way that it preserves the original details and charm, while being sufficiently modernized. We recommand it !
Easy to travel to, we used 3 methods. Train from Edinburgh, driving from London and flying from Edinburgh. All worked well. The pool is lovely, well designed and peaceful and it is superb to walk around the grounds and spot the deer, woodpeckers and squirrels. Overall would recommend this as a place to stay.
